Experience

A non-linear path through product, platforms, systems, and trust.

My career has moved from college radio and frontline service into business systems, healthcare technology, fintech product ownership, API strategy, platform consulting, music, and founder-led product development.

Professional proof

Credibility built through real systems, real constraints, and real teams.

My work has moved through practical environments where systems had to function, people had to align, and ideas had to become usable outcomes.

Professional summary

What my experience adds up to.

I work at the intersection of product management, architecture, and platform strategy. My experience spans API ecosystems, data products, event-driven microservices, developer experience, cloud-native platforms, stakeholder management, and cross-functional delivery.

The common thread is translation: turning messy, real-world constraints into working systems, turning complex technical ideas into product direction, and aligning teams around outcomes that need to scale, adapt, and earn trust.

WECX — Eckerd College Radio

General Manager · Student radio station rebuild

At Eckerd College, I became General Manager of WECX at a point when the radio station was not functioning. The work became an early lesson in systems ownership: diagnose the problem, find people with the right expertise, modernize the operating model, and create something others could actually use.

  • Tracked down technical help by physically going to RadioShack, asking for contacts, and finding an electrical engineer who could help bring the station back to life.
  • Helped rework a non-working radio console design that previously depended on hard-wired or soldered inputs directly into the board.
  • Worked with the electrician to create safer, more flexible input jacks so the station could connect record players, tape decks, CD players, 1/8-inch inputs, 1/4-inch inputs, and more modern audio sources.
  • Enabled the station to support broader programming and online streaming, turning a broken setup into a usable creative platform for students.
  • Left a short but meaningful legacy: within roughly a year and a half, the station became something friends and students could actually use, enjoy, and build around.

Thoughtworks

  • Worked across API, data product, developer experience, and cloud-native platform concerns.
  • Provided guidance around DDD, design patterns, testing techniques, development methodologies, and organizational frameworks.
  • Supported cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
  • Contributed to executive-level consultation around platform transformation, modernization, API strategy, operating model clarity, and value-driven outcomes.

Alliance Of Native Seedkeepers

Chief Technical Product Officer

In this role, I support product and technology direction for a mission-driven organization, where technical decisions need to respect community, trust, stewardship, and long-term sustainability.

  • Shape product and technology thinking across mission, operations, and digital capability.
  • Help translate organizational needs into clearer product and technical direction.
  • Bring platform, governance, and systems thinking into a community-centered context.

Bottomline Technologies

API Product Manager · Product Owner

At Bottomline Technologies, I worked in product ownership and API product management within a fintech environment where integrations, customer needs, product delivery, and technical execution had to align.

  • Worked across API product management, product ownership, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Helped connect customer and stakeholder needs to product requirements and technical execution.
  • Developed deeper experience in fintech systems, API ecosystems, and platform-oriented product work.

United Network for Organ Sharing

Product Owner / Technical Service Owner

At UNOS, I worked in a product and technical service ownership capacity in a high-stakes healthcare technology environment, where clarity, reliability, coordination, and service accountability were essential.

  • Worked with stakeholders to understand workflows, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
  • Built the analytical foundation that later supported product ownership and platform strategy work.

EAT Restaurant Partners

Assistant General Manager

Before moving fully into technology, I worked in hospitality leadership. That experience shaped how I think about service, operations, pressure, people, and the real-world systems behind customer experience.

  • Built frontline leadership experience in a fast-moving service environment.
  • Developed operational judgment, people management skills, and customer empathy.
  • Learned how systems succeed or fail through execution, communication, and accountability.

Professional Musician

Jazz Guitarist · Composer · Recording Artist · Creative Collaborator

Music has been one of the longest-running threads in my life. As a jazz guitarist, my voice draws from Hindustani music, Arabic melodies, avant-garde jazz, free improvisation, early American music, rock, soul, R&B, and bebop.

  • Earned Outstanding Solo Guitar Performance recognition at Berklee College of Music in Boston and McGill University in Montréal.
  • Performed at jazz festivals and composition settings across North America, developing a musical language shaped by Indian influence, modern jazz, and improvisation.
  • Released Suffice To Say with The BeSides in 2025, a locally formed Richmond jazz group.
  • Continue to perform in modern jazz trio settings and other projects with accomplished musicians crossing paths in Richmond, Virginia.
  • Bring the lessons of music — timing, structure, adaptation, listening, and collaboration — into my work in technology and leadership.
